Wheel spacers and adapters for 4x4 trucks and Jeeps, with the extended studs and hardware to fit them — Rugged Ridge, Method Race Wheels and more. Shipped to every province, priced in CAD.

Spacers do two distinct jobs. A spacer widens track using the same bolt pattern, which clears suspension or brake components and fills the arches. An adapter changes the bolt pattern so a wheel from a different vehicle will mount. Both push the wheel outward, which increases scrub radius and loads the wheel bearings more heavily.

Buy hub-centric, bolt-on spacers rather than slip-on shims. A bolt-on spacer has its own studs and centring bore and behaves like part of the hub; a thin slip-on relies on the original studs having enough remaining thread engagement, which is where failures come from. Re-torque after the first 100 kilometres, and expect a flare to be required once tread sits past the fender.

Spacer or adapter? Our guide to spacers and adapters covers hub-centric fit, stud engagement and what offset changes.

Common questions

What thickness of wheel spacer do you need?

Enough to clear whatever is rubbing, and no more. Thicker spacers move the wheel further from the hub, which increases the load on the bearing, so the smallest that solves the problem is the right one.

Do wheel spacers need longer studs?

It depends on thickness. A bolt-on spacer has its own studs; a slip-on spacer uses the factory studs, and past a certain thickness they no longer engage the nut fully.

Will wheel spacers fit any 4x4?

No. They are sold by bolt pattern and hub bore, and both must match your vehicle. The bore is what centres the wheel, and getting it wrong is what causes vibration.

Do spacers change how a truck drives?

Widening the track adds a little stability in a corner and adds leverage on the wheel bearing and steering. It also changes how much spray the tire throws, which is why fender coverage rules matter.
