Factor 55

Factor 55 builds winch and recovery hardware, and nearly everything on this page belongs to that job. The core is winch accessories: shackle mounts, rope guards, soft shackles, synthetic rope splices, and accessory kits that bundle several pieces. A few listings cover hitches, towing accessories and leaf springs.

The product lines are named in the titles. Prolink, Flatlink and Splicer are shackle mounts for the end of a winch line, and the Xtv versions are sold for synthetic rope. The Owyhee and Hemingway kits are accessory kits, each with a Hitchlink in a different colour and, in some, a medical bag.

Choose by what your winch line is made of and how you plan to connect it. Synthetic rope pairs with the Xtv mounts and rope guards; the soft shackle is a rope loop that replaces a steel shackle. Check the size shown in the title, since shackle and splice sizes are tied to the rope diameter. No vehicle list is attached to this brand, so match the part to your winch and recovery points.

The brand's own category page is Factor 55 winches and recovery. For other makers' gear, see hitches. Each product page lists the years, makes and models it fits when a part is vehicle-specific.
