Chevy Silverado Lift Kits: Choosing by Generation, 1999 to 2026

This guide is for Chevrolet Silverado owners who want more ride height and need to know which lift kit is actually listed for their truck. The decision comes down to two things: which Silverado generation you drive, and which engine, rear spring and trim it has. Kits are listed for specific years and configurations, never for "any Silverado".

What to check first on a Silverado

  • Generation. Our lift kit pages follow the truck's generations: 2019-2026 Silverado 1500, 2014-2018 Silverado 1500, 2007-2013 Silverado 1500 and 1999-2006 Silverado 1500. Start on the page for your years.
  • 1500 or HD. Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks are listed separately; older HD owners can start from 2007-2014 Silverado 2500/3500 HD and newer ones from the vehicle selector.
  • Engine and rear spring. On the 2019-and-later truck, the same 3.5" lift comes as different kits for different configurations, as the Rough Country kits below show. ReadyLift's own notes add a practical check before ordering: look at the rear leaf spring; on a mono-leaf spring the U-bolt is round around the top of the leaf.
  • Trim. Trail Boss, ZR2 and High Country with Adaptive Ride Control come up by name in the titles and maker notes below. If your trim is not named, the fitment table on each product page lists the trims the kit is recorded for.

Complete kit or single component?

A suspension lift raises ride height to clear larger tires, and component kits vary in what they include, so check the parts list on the product page. The Truck Lift Kits category also holds single parts such as shocks, sway bar links and upper control arms. Those support a lift of a stated height rather than create one.

2019-2026 Silverado 1500

Rough Country 3.5" for gas trucks with a mono rear leaf

The Rough Country 3.5" Lift Kit for 2019-2024 Silverado 1500, Gas with Mono Rear Leaf lifts the truck 3.5 inches over stock ride height. Its title excludes the Trail Boss, the ZR2 and the High Country with Adaptive Ride Control. That is the question many 2020 RST owners are really asking: the RST is not named either way, so confirm engine, rear spring and the fitment table before you order.

Rough Country 3.5" for the High Country with Adaptive Ride Control

The High Country with Adaptive Ride Control has its own kit: the Rough Country 3.5" Lift Kit for 2019-2024 Silverado 1500 High Country with Adaptive Ride Control, also 3.5 inches. More kits are on the Rough Country Lift Kits page.

ReadyLift 3" for 2025-2026 trucks

For the newest trucks, the ReadyLift Suspension Lift Kit, 3" Lift, 2025-2026 Silverado 1500 / Sierra 1500 (69-35400) adds 3 inches of suspension lift. Read the product page for the trims, rear springs and drive modes it excludes before ordering. See the ReadyLift Lift Kits page for the brand's other listings.

2014-2018 Silverado 1500

The Zone 3.5" Combo Lift Kit for 2014-2015 Silverado 1500 is a 3.5-inch kit whose title covers 2014-2015 only. For 2016-2018, use the 2014-2018 page above. The Zone Offroad Lift Kits page lists the brand's kits for other years.

2007-2013 Silverado 1500

Shocks have to match the lift. The Bilstein Front Shock for 07-13 Silverado/Sierra 1500 4WD is listed for 4WD trucks at 0-1.75" or 6" of lift, and its title says it does not fit BDS lift kits.

1999-2006 Silverado 1500

Searching for a 2003 Silverado lift kit? Use the 1999-2006 page linked above. Each product page lists the years, makes and models it fits; confirm 2WD or 4WD first.

FAQ

Will a Silverado lift kit fit my 2020 RST?

None of the kit titles in this guide names the RST. The Rough Country 3.5" kit for 2019-2024 trucks is listed for gas trucks with a mono rear leaf and excludes the Trail Boss, the ZR2 and the High Country with Adaptive Ride Control. If your RST matches, confirm it in the product's fitment table or with the vehicle selector.

I have a 2003 Silverado. Where do I start?

Start on the 1999-2006 Silverado 1500 lift kit page, then confirm your drive (2WD or 4WD) before you compare kits.

Does a kit sold for the Silverado also fit a Sierra?

Only when the product's title or fitment table names the Sierra. The ReadyLift 3" kit in this guide names both the 2025-2026 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500; the Rough Country and Zone kits here name only the Silverado.

What is the difference between a lift kit and a leveling kit?

A leveling kit raises the front to match the rear. A suspension lift raises ride height to clear larger tires.
