This Spec Stage 2 clutch kit fits the 94-05 Mazda Miata as a replacement for the original clutch. Spec numbers its clutch kits by stage, and this one is Stage 2.
A clutch connects and disconnects the engine from a manual transmission: the pressure plate clamps the clutch disc against the flywheel to transmit power, and releases it when the clutch pedal is pressed.
