Spec's Stage 2+ clutch kit is built for the 92-02 Dodge Viper 8.0L and takes the place of the stock clutch. Spec numbers its clutch kits by stage, and this one is Stage 2+.
A clutch connects and disconnects the engine from a manual transmission: the pressure plate clamps the clutch disc against the flywheel to transmit power, and releases it when the clutch pedal is pressed.
