This Spec Stage 2 Plus clutch kit fits the 99-01 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Kompressor as a replacement for the original clutch. Spec numbers its clutch kits by stage, and this one is Stage 2 Plus.
A clutch connects and disconnects the engine from a manual transmission: the pressure plate clamps the clutch disc against the flywheel to transmit power, and releases it when the clutch pedal is pressed.
