The Spec Stage 1 clutch kit is a replacement for the factory clutch in the 13-14 Ford Fiesta ST 1.6T. Spec numbers its clutch kits by stage, and this one is Stage 1.
A clutch connects and disconnects the engine from a manual transmission: the pressure plate clamps the clutch disc against the flywheel to transmit power, and releases it when the clutch pedal is pressed.
