The SCE Gaskets Pro Copper annealed exhaust gasket is intended for the Buick 400-455 V8 Stage 1. It is .062-inch thick. The gasket closes the exhaust joint so gas leaves through the pipe and not past the flange.
A gasket or seal closes the gap where two parts meet, or around a turning shaft, so that oil, coolant, fuel, air, exhaust or combustion pressure cannot leak out of the engine or driveline.
