The Rugged Ridge Hood Deflector for 2007-2018 Jeep Wrangler JK models is a body armor hood guard that shields the hood. It is made of black diamond plate looking UV treated thermoplastic and attaches with strong tape.

A hood deflector, or bug shield, is a shield fitted along the front edge of the hood that covers the leading edge and redirects air, insects and small road debris away from it.
