The CURT 10 in. 5th Wheel Lube Plate is sold as a universal fit, not tied to one truck model. It sits on the hitch head and reduces direct metal-to-metal contact between the head and the trailer's kingpin plate.

A gooseneck or fifth-wheel hitch mounts in or under the pickup box over the rear axle, on rails or brackets fastened to the frame, so the trailer couples inside the box rather than at the bumper.
