As moderate loads are applied, the secondary leafs are engaged. Second, if the truck is fully loaded, the bottom overload is engaged for maximum hauling capacity. This setup allows your truck to maintain ride quality unloaded without sacrificing payload. Upgrading to BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs will reduce axle wrap and provide flexibility throughout the suspension cycle. If heavy payload use is desired, supplemental rear air bags are recommended.
