GMC Sierra Leveling Kits: AT4, Denali and the Rest
Share
On a GMC Sierra 1500, the badge and the suspension underneath it decide which leveling kit you can use, as much as the model year does. Denali trucks with MagneRide or Adaptive Ride, and the AT4, have kits of their own; most other trims share kits with the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. This guide sorts the Sierra kits that way, so you can find your truck's row first and then the kit.
Read your truck before you read the kits
A leveling kit raises the front to match the factory rear height, without changing the rear suspension. To pick the right one, check three things on your Sierra:
- Model year. The kits below are titled 2019-2026, 2014-2018 or 2007-2018.
- Trim badge. Denali and AT4 are named in several titles. Rough Country's general 2019-2026 kit is titled as excluding the AT4 and AT4X.
- Suspension. Two Denali kits are titled for trucks with MagneRide (2014-2018) or Adaptive Ride (2019-2026). If your Denali has one of these, use the kit that names it.

Sierra 1500 without AT4 or Denali-specific suspension
- Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit, 19-26 Silverado/Sierra 1500 (excluding AT4/AT4X/Trail Boss/ZR2): a Boss series kit for 2019-2026 trucks. The title excludes the AT4 and AT4X (and the Chevrolet Trail Boss and ZR2).
- Rough Country 2" Front Leveling Kit, 07-18 Silverado / Sierra 1500: a front kit whose title covers 2007 through 2018, across both of those Sierra 1500 generations.
Sierra 1500 AT4
The AT4 leaves the factory sitting higher at the front: in its notes for a Trail Boss kit, ReadyLift says the AT4 and Trail Boss are factory equipped with a 2" front lift. The AT4 kit below adds 1.75", and the general kit above is titled as excluding the AT4.
- Rough Country 1.75" Leveling Kit, 19-26 Sierra 1500 AT4 4WD: titled for the 2019-2026 Sierra 1500 AT4 with four-wheel drive.
Sierra 1500 with MagneRide or Adaptive Ride
2014-2018 with MagneRide
- Skyjacker Front 2" Leveling Kit, 14-18 Sierra 1500 with Magneride: a front kit titled for the 2014-2018 Sierra 1500 with MagneRide, without naming a trim.
- Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit, 14-18 Sierra 1500 Denali with Magneride: titled for the Denali with MagneRide.
2019-2026 Denali with Adaptive Ride
- Rough Country 2" Leveling Kit, 19-26 Sierra 1500 Denali with Adaptive Ride: titled for the 2019-2026 Denali with Adaptive Ride.
Because these titles name the suspension system, a Denali with neither system should start with the general kits and check the fitment table.
Sierra 2500 HD and 3500 HD
None of the kits above names the heavy-duty Sierra. For a 2007-2014 Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD, start at Leveling Kits for 2007-2014 GMC Sierra 2500/3500 HD; for a newer HD, start at the category page and set the vehicle selector to your truck.

FAQ
Does my Sierra need a MagneRide or Adaptive Ride kit?
If your truck has one of those systems, use a kit whose title names it: the Skyjacker and Rough Country 14-18 kits name MagneRide, and Rough Country's 19-26 Denali kit names Adaptive Ride.
Will the general 2019-2026 kit fit an AT4?
No. Rough Country titles its general 2" kit as excluding the AT4 and AT4X. Its 1.75" kit is titled for the 19-26 Sierra 1500 AT4 4WD.
Can I use a Silverado leveling kit on my Sierra?
Only when the title names the Sierra as well, as Rough Country's 19-26 and 07-18 kits do. Do not assume a Silverado-only kit fits.
Does a leveling kit raise the back of the truck?
No. It raises the front to match the factory rear height, without changing the rear suspension.
