Two sizes decide the fit. The shank is the part that slides into the receiver on your truck, and the samples list two-inch, two-and-a-half-inch and three-inch shanks. The drop is how far the ball sits below the receiver, with 6, 8 and 10 inch drops in the samples. To choose, measure from the ground to the top of the trailer coupler, then work out the drop that levels the trailer.
