See further, and be seen. Light bars, pods and cubes, replacement headlights and tail lights, fog lamps, cab and bed lighting, and the mounts, harnesses and switches that make them work — brands including Spyder, AlphaRex, Race Sport.

Choose by beam pattern before brightness. A light bar throwing a tight spot lights a distant point and little either side of it; a flood pattern fills the near field and dazzles in fog. Most vehicles end up with both, which is what combination bars are for. Fog lamps sit low and wide deliberately, to stay under the murk rather than light it up.

Sort the wiring out at the same time as the lamp. A relay harness, an appropriately rated switch and a fused feed are the difference between a light that works for years and one that fails in the wet. Mounts and brackets matter for the same reason — a bar that vibrates will fail at the solder joints long before the LEDs give up.

Raw output figures are the least reliable number in this category. Effective lighting is beam shape, mounting height and colour temperature working together.

Start from what the light has to do. Seeing further down a dark road is headlights, light bars and pod and auxiliary lights; seeing in weather is fog and driving lights. Being seen is tail lights and replacement bulbs. Everything mounted needs mounts and brackets and wiring and electrical behind it, and interior and accent lighting covers the cab.
