AMP Research Steps & Bars

AMP Research steps and bars here are mostly PowerStep running boards, with a smaller group of nerf step bars. PowerStep boards are power running boards. They deploy when a door opens and tuck away when it closes, so the truck keeps its ground clearance when it is moving. There is also a PowerStep XL version and a lighted Vision version.

The first question is cab size and width. Titles are listed by AMP part number, and each number is cut for a particular vehicle, cab and year range. The PowerStep XL is the larger step. Vision adds lights to the step, and it is listed for the Cadillac Escalade ESV and related large SUVs.

Power boards need wiring, so check what is included. Look at the product page for the harness and install notes. A fixed nerf bar is the simpler option if you do not want a power step.
