2–4" Lift Kits

Lift kits in the two-to-four-inch band — the most common choice for a daily-driven truck on larger tires. Skyjacker, Ironman 4x4, JKS Manufacturing and more.

This is the range where a kit stops being spacers and starts being suspension. Most kits here replace or supplement the springs rather than merely preloading them, and include shocks valved for the new ride height. Two to three inches usually clears a 33-inch tire on a half-ton; three to four will often take a 35 with minor trimming.

Watch the driveline at the top of the band. At four inches many trucks want a carrier bearing drop or a pinion shim, and the alignment afterwards is not optional — caster changes with height, and a truck that wanders on the highway after a lift is usually telling you the caster was never corrected.
