Trim is mostly reversible, which is what makes it a sensible change on a truck you may sell or return. Most of it is adhesive-mounted and vehicle-specific, so it follows the body line rather than approximating it, and it comes off without holes in the sheet metal.

Body-side moulding earns its place beyond appearance: it takes the door ding in a car park that would otherwise dent a panel. Choose the finish for the vehicle you have — chrome on a chrome-delete truck and gloss black on a chrome-trimmed one are the two mismatches people notice immediately.
