Exhaust Tips

Exhaust tips in stainless, black and polished finishes, bolt-on and weld-on — MBRP, Borla, MagnaFlow and more, fitting Ram, Chevrolet, GMC and Ford vehicles.
A tip changes appearance and very little else. It sits after the muffler, so it cannot meaningfully alter flow, power or tone — anything sold as a bolt-on tip that promises a sound change is describing a resonating chamber, not a tip. Buy it for the way it finishes the back of the vehicle.
Measure three dimensions before ordering: the inlet diameter, which must match your tailpipe; the outlet, which is the visible size; and overall length, which decides how far it protrudes past the bumper. Clamp-on tips are removable and can loosen over time; welded tips are permanent and will not. In a salt province, 304 stainless outlasts chrome-plated steel by years.
Common questions
Do exhaust tips change the sound?
Barely. A tip changes the last few inches of the exhaust path, so it alters tone slightly at most. Sound comes from the muffler and the system ahead of it.
How do you size an exhaust tip?
By the inlet diameter, which must match your tailpipe. Outlet diameter and length are appearance choices; inlet is the fitment dimension that decides whether it mounts at all.
What is the difference between a clamp-on and a weld-on tip?
A clamp-on tightens over the tailpipe and can be removed. A weld-on is permanent and cannot loosen, which matters on a vehicle that sees a lot of vibration.
Do stainless exhaust tips discolour?
They can blue or haze near the tailpipe with heat, more so on a diesel. Polished stainless cleans back; chrome plating over steel is the finish that tends to pit in a salt climate.
