Edelbrock

Edelbrock has been building induction since 1938 — over 850 parts across intake manifolds, carburetors, fuel systems, cylinder heads, superchargers and the hardware that joins them.

Induction parts only work as a matched set. An intake manifold has a usable rpm range designed into it, and pairing a high-rpm manifold with a stock camshaft and stock heads moves the powerband somewhere the engine never visits. The Performer and Performer RPM naming is the guide: Performer suits low and mid-range torque for a street vehicle or a truck that tows, Performer RPM trades some of that for top end.

Fuel delivery has to keep up with whatever the induction now flows. A carburetor conversion or a supercharger changes the pump, line and regulator requirements, and those are the parts most often discovered late.
