Carr builds steps, light mounts and bars from cast and extruded aluminum — over 200 parts across hoop steps, side steps and light bar mounts.

Hoop steps are the distinctive product: a single step per door rather than a full-length board. They weigh far less, keep the underside clear for approach and departure angles, and are far easier to get past when the rocker panels are packed with snow — which is where a full board becomes an ice shelf.

Aluminum construction is the reason to choose them in a salt province. There is no steel substrate to rust out from under a powder coat, and Carr's mounts bolt to existing frame or body points on most applications rather than requiring drilling.
